ACSI Art Festival
On May 2, 2008, JCS hosted the ACSI Spring Art Fest. Twelve schools from South Florida participated in this annual event; Berean Christian School, Bethany Christian, First Baptist Academy, Florida Bible Christian, Fort Myers Christian, Jupiter Christan, Ocala Christian Academy, The Mater's Academy, Trinity Christian Academy, Trinity Christian School, and Weston Christian Academy.
Thank you to the many volunteers who helped to make this year's art show a success. The day of the Art Fest was fun for all who attended. Classes from elementary and secondary toured the gallery, watched visiting children's illustrator Sean Kelly, had their faces painted and took part in chalk art. High School art student, Amanda Guillory who created a chalk art masterpiece last year, contributed her second piece of chalk art for the festival. Ava Funk, Ruthie Roorda, Kayla Johnson, Kelly Teufel, Ileana Anderson, and Jamie Lopez all shared their time and talents as well. Thank you also to Mrs. Toren for organizing and orchestrating the Elementary Song and Dance Team, complete with live fiddle playing!
